Artist description
The Thrill is an attempt to bring back to rock and roll what it has lost: the subtle combination of songwriting and layered arrangement, with enough simplicity for catchiness, enough artistry for depth, and an emphasis on the sound of the music rather than showy displays of virtuosity. |

Artist History
The Thrill formed in early 1999, with original members Ashkon Davaran, Brian Quinn, Nicolas Fournier, and Ben Sonabria. Based out of Santa Cruz, California, they played several local shows before recording their first CD in June of 1999. In October, Ben Sonabria left the group and was replaced by Kevin Cutler. After another year of playing local shows and writing new material, Kevin Cutler left Santa Cruz and the Thrill, and is yet to be replaced. They continue to play local shows as a three-piece, and are currently working on new material. |
