Artist History From their humble beginnings in front of 30,000 fans on national TV at Farm Aid 6 as members of Roseanne and Tom Arnold's back-up group "the Alice Chalmers Experience" and the "Massive Fergusons" (for the uninitiated, those are tractor puns!) to the ballrooms and fairs of the heartland and beyond, the Bootrockets have bought that intangible quality called talent to the stage, and performed tirelessly to earn admiration as festival entertainers. As Tom Arnold quips, "We needed these guys on-stage so we wouldn't stink!" The previous recipients of two consecutive 1st place honors at the Northeast Missouri State Fair and regional TV station KTVO sponsored Battle of the Bands, in '99 they've again captured 1st in the Putnam Co. Missouri Fair sponsored event. They've opened for acts and celebrities as divers as Matina McBride, Jerry Clower, Sammy Kershaw and the Vice-President of the United States.
