Press Reviews
For "Smile Slightly": "'Smile Slightly' has a number of outstanding songs and Christensen's gift for simple hooks makes this album an easy one to immidiatly get into." - Gajoob. "Like a Tom Petty listening to the MC5 on his walkman while strolling through Eureka on a Sunday night." - Anthem. For "The Truth Hurts": "'The Truth Hurts' is more spellbinding, and more genuine, than any poseur currently wasting your time on the radio." - Reviews by Ray. "Rob Christensen delivers a solid album of searching electric/acoustic songs that cut to the bone of personal relationships...Fans of Dylan will certainly find another real artist here. Highly recommended." - Gajoob. For "At The The Of The Day": "Stripped to their intimate essence - simple strumming and a bruised, raspy voice - tunes like 'September Knows' from Rob's brilliant 'The Truth Hurts' are at times even more effective than the originals." - Demo Universe. For "Opera Alley": "The ten songs on this collection are the best he's ever written, and the arrangements are amazing. The hooks are memorable, the choruses are catchy, the songs are great, and the sentiments are 100% authentic." - Reviews by Ray |
