    Artist description
Born in a family of artists Louisiane Philip starts to study music, painting and classic ballet at a young age.She pursues her lyric studies at the Conservatory of Nice while at the same time she obtains a masters degree in oriental languages at the Paris Sorbonne University. Her passion for the opera and the success given to her by the public right from her first concert drive her to perfect her art in Italy where she lives for 10 years in Rome and Tuscany. There she works with prestigious productions (Opera of Roma, Puccini Festival - Torre del Lago, Opera of Monte Carlo), international soloists such as Renata Scotto, Fiorenza Cossotto, Roberto Alagna, Roberto Scandiuzzi, Shirley Veyrett and stage directors such as Pier Luigi Pizzi and Franco Zeffirelli.“Singing is a profound untouchable human art. It integrates with any age and links people because it expresses eternal and universal feelings.”Louisiane is also a professional author and composer affiliated with the French SACEM (Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers of Music) and has written songs in French, English, Russian and Italian.“After finishing my singing studies, I studied the laws of harmony and composition. My target was not to dominate music, but to return to the source to be able to relive the moments of creation, to be with the composer and to be able to understand how a he, by the sheer genius of a succession of harmonics, arrived to give life to the perfect vibration of feeling expressed by the lyrics. In Rome I followed courses in dramatic art since I wanted to become an actress. However I was always fascinated by the force of the synergy between music and lyrics, which are two complementary dimensions; united they provide an incredible powerhouse of expression and feelings.”“I profoundly love people, life and art.To be a performing artist means sharing emotion, touching the heart of people neither regarding their culture nor nationality. It is a magnificent profession. My preferred composers are Vivaldi, Bellini and Massenet for the beauty, the simplicity and the refinement of their melodic line.”Louisiane is currently writing a book titled: “Par Amour du Chant: Itinéraire d’une Passion” (For the love of singing: Itinerary of a Passion). “In art there are phrases, instants and encounters which are just as precious as diamonds. I am an explorer, an archeologist, a witness of the aestetics of music.”A desire?“I love progress. I love studio recording. I am fascinated by virtual images and holograms. I dream of a lyric performance which would be a futuristic reverie ; a mega-show extraordinarly visual, where the vocal soloist represents the eternal intelligence of the spirit, (symbolized by the beauty of a woman) and the game of her impulsions, which represents life.”Louisiane currently lives in Monte Carlo and prepares her next recording sessions coached by Boyana Vioutcheva (Opera of Monte Carlo) and Carlo Morganti (Rossini Festival, Pesaro). Her preferred repertoire is Bel Canto (Bellini, Rossini, Donizetti), but her fabulous talent as an actress and her “Garcia” vocal technique (same one of M. Callas and B. Gigli) enable her to interprete to perfection a great variety of roles, even contemporary ones, such as Magda Sorel in “The Consul” by Gian Carlo Menotti.A young, beautiful and profound artist. An amazing talent to discover.
