Artist History
In a strange twist of fate, the piano chose Jessica Tower in the spring of 1997. The old upright was in her apartment's walkway, its origin a mystery. She played it for a year, out of tune, and missing some keys. Jessica, who had never played an instrument before, began writing songs. And in the summer of 1998 she played her highly original, heartfelt songs to an enthusiastic audience at Jacques in Boston. Jessica continues to build her Boston area fanbase, and in April 2000 released her first DAM CD, Pleasures Mine. |

Press Reviews
"Tower took up music in '97 when the apartment she rented had an old out-of-tune piano in the hall. She's a quick study with a singing voice that matches her lush, darkly melodramatic songs; think of Tori Amos -- actually, her sound is closer to the English Virginia Astley -- produced by the Blue Nile." - (LISTEN.COM) |
