Artist description
A very interesting and surprising example of the tendencies of rock in early 21st century, recycling old grooves in a brand new mood. Innovative, expressive, powerful but exquisite band that arises from the still unknown underground. Lyrics are not empty in content. Innocents is not that kind of band with "nothing to say", indeed. Meet the acid and realistic world view that this five guys have to tell. |

The band starts its brief history in 1994, with Maxx Khonaviss in lead vocals, Alex Zucker in bass, Martin G, Lucio Baiocco on guitars and a long list of drummers. They were first known as R-Gents. The band seemed to revolute and commote theargentinian musical scene at that time. Their first single "Living in Argentina" was at least controversial while its radio diffusion days.Last days of 1995, they became Innocents andstarted again the recording sessions.Their first, self titled album was released in 1996, selling about five thousand copies in the underground circuit (a really huge number, considering the size of that small market). Internal, personal trouble set Alex Zuckerout of the project in 1997. At that time started a2 year long period of inactivity. Firstmonths of 1999 were the new beginning. Maxxreactivated the band with the inclusion ofBartok on lead guitar, song writing and co-production.They´re now finishing their second (and very promising) record. |

"What? An argentinian band can be that cool? Wake me up! This might be just a dream... This rulez!"Andres Vigliatti, from Fanmaniac, underground rockmagazine from Buenos Aires, Arg. 1996"I never realized how cool an argentine band canbe these days... at least someone does start doingthings well in this part of the world!"Marcos Finkel, Musiqueando, music mag, 1997, Buenos Aires"Take some bluesy groovie tune. Take Jane´s Addiction and put´em an adrenaline injection, take a multi-face idoneous singer, then take a talented musical arranger and include new sonic scapes. Take some cool lyrics, and Mix them up and you´ll have Innocent´s second album". Previews section, Manuel Maqueira, Rock Animals Mag, 2000, Buenos Aires. |
