Artist History
After a two year run together in another band, and several individual bands before that, Krys and Niall decide to construct a musical union with Allen and Kevin that represents years of musical diversity, experience and creativity. The musical bond the four manifest sparks the tracks heard here, and the pieces that are continually in progress. The deep respect shared between them proves to be the basis of the uncategorical Headscope experience. Get your headphones, boys and girls. |

Press Reviews
HEADSCOPE CD A refreshing entry into the Portland music scene comes in the form of Headscope, a 5-piece band led by singer Krys No, who woos you with her sultry and mysterious voice and takes you on a ride through musical space. Apparently their first release, this 5-song EP is filled with thoughtfully poetic lyrics, tasty guitar accented with bright percussion, and some great keyboard work. The sound is basically groove-rock with a hint of funk. The notion comes to mind that perhaps they intended to appeal to a Z100 audience, but decided they were too talented to mess with that and instead opted to create their own sound- a good choice for my money! My faves-the ultra-spacy Lung Candy and the opening track, Casseopiea. Slap Co. Records Bob Cooper © 2000 // PRESIDENT'S DAY REVIEW Headscope Demo / Slap Company Records It's funky, fiery and tight. It's ablaze with rainy, sliding, agile female vocals by singer "Krys No." This R&Bish, groove-rock band is a blast of the unusual. It's rhythmic and ghostly. There's a sense that No is sitting on the rings of Saturn singing her stormy woes to the stars. To Headscope I say..... MORE... WE WANT MORE! Fran Gray, March issue of TWO LOUIES |
