Artist History
Formed in 1993 by singer/songwriter Mitch Treger, The Emptys feature an expert lineup. Saxophonist, Peter Fraize - Professor of Music & the Coordinator of Jazz Studies at George Washington University. Derryberry is Lead Guitarist. The rhythym section: ultra-talented drummer, Leland Nakamura and bassist and founding member, Jeff "Fro" Reich. For six years they toured the Middle Atlantic region & developed a strong, loyal fan base. They released two, highly acclaimed, self-produced albums - "Bridge Across The Ocean" and "Pick Your Ears Up." The EMPTYS are simply the Best Band You Never Heard Of! |
