Artist description
DISDAIN is made up of four sixteen year olds who reside in the frozen, desolate north of British Columbia. Anyone who's ever been there knows that there's only two things to do in Prince George in the middle of winter - drink and fight. Disdain's members are actively engaging in both. This allowed them to write some real northern metal and put on some insane live shows. They recorded their first album when they were all 16, and now, just a little over a year later, they're going stronger than ever imagined. |

Artist History
Originally named "Tyrant", until the "real" Tyrant (of Metal Blade Records) threatened to sue. They quickly decided on a placeholder name of "Ocular Trauma", but given some time to think they have finally decided on DISDAIN. This quartet is well known in their home of Prince George, B.C. for their insanely kinetic and incendiary live shows. Their first album, "The War Chest E.P." was produced by Mike Callewaert, well known for producing the album "Tears" for fellow Prince Georgians "Fueled By Ignorance" (FBI). The current lineup has remained the same since summer 1999, but all of the band members have been floating around in local bands for some years now. |
