Artist History
Founder members the Szczerba Brothers from Sheffield, England were heavily influenced by experimental 70s music and decided to produce their own sonic sequences via home made electronic sound generators and old tape recorders. They were amongst the first bands to use random sequencing to develop ambient textures. In the early 80s, the brothers accidently learned to play guitar and bass riffs, so they blended the two approaches together to form their own unique sound. The band became a full gigging and recording outfit in the mid 80s and the legendary Dolphin Daydream Recording Studio was founded in the late 80s in Chester, England for less than the price of a modem. In the late 90s, the band members lived in Chester and Sheffield, so musical links were developed via their own multimedia website which consequently won an award for music and images. The band joined forces with The Robot Alien, a drummer with incredible timekeeping skills. The key moment was when silent vocalist Johnny Nightingale and producer / Ambient Carpet Designer Rian Beno joined. The band has produced five albums, all of which are hailed as classics from the 4th dimension. |
