Artist History
Fromed in the early 80's, by a group of high school friends devoted to the soul preservation of jazz. Each member brought with them their own style. Instead of these various styles clashing together, they melded into this full, rich, sound. The original line up, unfortunatly, had to be changed, when the then current drummer, Ray Ruyack, was killed in an auto accident. All of these songs were written in the next few month's, as a tribute to him. It's hard to descibe just how quickly these songs came together. It was like we were all on the same plain, we would DO, not think. We would break and pause at the same time, change keys together without any spoken words. I rare that you find individuals like this, let alone FOUR thinking as one. These songs were recorded in one session, after a few days of rehersal, downstairs in Mark and Scott's basement. We tried to get a live feeling so we recorded them one right after the other, on a boom box placed in another room (in one of the tracks yet to be uploaded, during a song break, you can hear Mark's parents clapping in the background). The recording's are only one of two known to still be in existance. Attempts are currently underway to improve on the overall sound quality.Enjoy... |
