Artist History
Formed in October of 97, Sullenspire was forged out of close friendship of Chris M. and Shay L.. However, it wasn't until they met up with drummer Jason A. in college that they began to write and practice regularly. Stephen M. was also added as a second guitarist, but he eventually moved back to Pittsburgh later that year. (Stephen is currently playing with The Great Eastern and Teddy Du'Champs Army.) Since then, Sullenspire pressed ahead as a trio, playing along side such great bands as: Creta Bourzia, Apple Seed Cast, Fin Fang Foom, El Sucio, The Ladderback, Hunter Gatherer, Manhattan, Another Sevenfold, NOB, and Teddy Duchamp's Army. Not to mention playing the now defunct "Backdoor" in Greenville, NC. It was practically our second home, RIP. The band also went on to record a few songs for an e.p., unfortunately it was never released.
