Artist History
In 1976,Pattie In 1976, Pattie Brooks, one of the top session vocalists in LA, became the contractor for backup vocalists for Donna Summer. As a result, she was offered her own deal with Casablanca Records. She recorded 5 albums with the label as well as being featured on the soundtracks for "Thank God It's Friday" and "Dr. Detroit". Pattie has appeared on virtually every major music program including "American Bandstand", "Soul Train", "The Midnight Special" and "Dance Fever". Her natural acting abilities and vivacious personality has led to various cameo appearances, including work with Steven Speilberg on his series, "Amazing Stories." Still very active in the LA session scene, Pattie is literally heard everyday on numerous TV commercials. She has also worked with a variety of artists like Rick James, Teena Marie, and Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart. Pattie is currently enjoying a millenium rebirth due to her fresh approach to the genre of dance music she helped to pioneer. Patties' biggest hit, "After Dark" still gets substantial airplay on dance stations, worldwide and the remix is now available on MP3.com. |
