Artist History
Moses Mayes formed in the spring of 1999 in the Canadian prairie city of Winnipeg. The original 7 members started out jamming at Braemar Bakery every Monday night and soon the collective formed what is known as Moses Mayes. The night became a regular spot for many and soon Moses Mayes was performing to 300+ crowds throughout the Winnipeg music scene. Moses Mayes released their debut albut in the summer of 2000 which won them a 2001 Prairie Music Award for outstanding urban/dance recording. Moses Mayes keeps busy with an intense touring schedule as well as writing songs for their second album expected in the fall of 2002. |
