    Artist History
Formed in 1997 by lead vocalist/guitarist C`vey Rauland and drummer Thom Cooper. After several years of playing the mid-Atlantic, region they decided to form a band that would strictly spotlight the very strong and creative writing ability as well as the unique sound and vocal style.Hoping to fully exploit their talents they called on former band mate guitarist Stephen James who eagerly jumped on board roundingout their aggressive hard rock sound.Catching the attention of grammy nominated producer Jon Butcher, who himself has extensive experience in the field as well as twenty albums to his credit with such labels as Polygram and Capitol records respectively. They soon found their way into Los Angeles and into the studio to record their debut release.Upon completion of the recording, realizing the true talent and drive within the band, the next stepwas obvious. With Jon Butcher at the helm he wasted no time shopping MEDICINE MAN`smaterial and gathering much interest as well as several offers from respective record labels with in the U.S. as well as EUROPE and JAPAN .At the advice of now acting adviser Jon Butcher no contracts have yet been secured. With the addition of bassist Dan Baldwin the band line up is now complete.Their philosophy is two fold. Long term commitment and total dedication! They realize the commitment it will take from them to fulfill such a huge undertaking and are prepared to face it head on.Regional testing of their CD has had an overwhelming response including daily rotation on various local radio stations and television reviews .Currently the band has been working with comedian/producer Larry Stevens on his television pilot "SHOW TIME AT THE BEACH" which has received major interest from CBS executiveEd Young. Mr Young has scheduled a live taping of the pilot in the CBS studios inNEW YORK in the spring of the year 2000.MEDICINE MAN is also hard at work preparing for a number of promotional dates across the U.S. so we will see you on the road!...
