Artist description
Current band members are Glenn Scott, Dennis Van Dine, Mark Schachowskoy, and Nathan Hansen. Glenn is a classically trained bass/baritone looking to apply his singing and creativity to a more progressive and contemporary audience. Dennis is a talented and creative pianist, whose strong musical upbringing has allowed him to become the group's instrumental Jack-of-All-Trades. Similarly, Nathan is a prolific songwriter who adds his many skills, including guitar and bass talent, to the group. Not least, but last, is Mark, the half-man, half-amazing drummer who lends hip-hop and jazz-influenced beats to our compositions. A visionary with a wide scope of musical interests, he is currently developing turntable and sampling expertise. |

Artist History
Glenn Scott has been performing publicly since he was a child. As he matured, he presented shows of classical, broadway, and contemporary music (often with the help of Dennis Van Dine)in his hometown of New Liskeard, Ontario. Later, at performances for local "Bean-Pub Coffeehouses", Glenn further developed his musicianship and strong stage presence, while forming a good rapport with local musicians. In the summers of 1998 and 99, he competed in the "Spirit of the North" northern music festival, and won spots on 2 "S of N" CD's, for two self-written songs, produced by Ian Auger at his OGERIFF studio. The recordings "Now" and "I Dream in Hi-Fi" are products of these records.Formed in early 2000 as part a University of Guelph music project, the current group is developing originals and performing its mix of covers and original music at the U of G campus and in and around Guelph. |
