Artist description
Groove and Jam is the word and the message. We pop, dance, and generally kick into the groove with a universal feeling. Our direction has no boundaries, both musically and conceptually. With a small ensemble of musicians and the high-tech of loops and automation, we have a sound that's more than powerful. |

Artist History
An American in Paris, Matthew Russell came as a flute and saxophone player from NYC where he was playing with salsa, reggae and jazz bands. Looking towards a new horizon he travelled all over the Middle East, Europe, and Africa until he found himself based in Paris France. This is where he has been developing his world techno sound where Africa meets India coming from NYC. He has worked as producer, arranger and composer on projects distributed by Universal, sony, BMG, and EMI. His personal project, which is featured here today, is "Force Jam". World pump acid jazz beat from ambient to hard pump. The new album "The Snake" is exclusively on mp3.com and is fresh off the press. Our band has become even more electronic with lots of trip hop and even rap. Some of the songs go into the techno dance area but still leave you with strong jazz roots. Being mainly an instrumental band we have some great vocal guests like Ken (Maniak) Russel on The Snake, Maten Ingle on One Cycle and myself Matthew (Force) Russell on Freedom Song. New bounderies in the hi teq of electronica has moved Force Jam into a new dimension. |
