Artist description First, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for visiting our site! The Danny Cowan Group is all about original music centered around hot guitar, sultry vocals and our musical roots. It has always been my desire to express myself and hopefully, even earn a living, through my guitar. I have studied the greats like Stevie and Jimi, Michael Bloomfield, Gary Moore, Peter Green, and a long list of others for many years and developed a style which is a combination of many influences plus my own techniques and licks.! I play seven different guitars and attempt to get a very unique and indicative tone from each one. When our music is composed, we try to find the guitar and tone that best fits the character and emotion of the song. Consequently, you will hear a great many styles from our group. When my wife Tracey (the vocalist) and I first started composing our originals, we decided right off the bat that we would not try to compose in a certain style or genre. We just wanted to let the music write itself about our life's experiences, interests, joys and sorrows. So far, we have had a blast and we hope you will enjoy the music as much as we have making it! Music certainly has always been the only constant companion through the best and the worst times in our lives and the digital age has now finally made it possible to perhaps make our living from the thing we love to do! Artist History The Danny Cowan Group began in October of 1999 with its core trio. We immediately began recording our first album "Drivin' Back to Texas" which was released in December, 2000. We also perform live in the San Antonio and South Texas area and plan to make several national appearances as well in support of our album release.
