Artist History
Sergi Puertas was born in 1971 in Barcelona, Spain. At age 17 he learned playing guitar and spent the following years playing in several pop, rock and metal bands. Soon, he got interested in bass guitar and played it in quite a lot of local bands too. Having borrowed drum boxes, keyboards and other stuff from friends and being quite fed up of pop songs, he started composing and recording instrumetal themes at home. During next years, synths provided an interesting playground for experimenting with new sounds; computers became a true option for processing analogic instruments as guitar and bass; they turned hi-quality home recording into an affordable realitytoo. After releasing the CD "ballet lessons for crippled hipsters" as dioxid, this new project, bioxid, is an attempt to push the disturbing possibilities of experimental music further down. |
