Artist History
In the Fall of 1998, 5SS invited solo artist, Erin Drummond, to sing an opening set for several concerts. A year later, with two members of 5SS stepping down, the remaining three: Jon Fawcett, lead guitar; Chris Fawcett, keyboard turned bass player; and Trista Carr, drummer, invited Erin to step in for lead vocals and Zuzu Bailey was born, the original Zuzu being born to George and Mary sometime in the 40's.Armed with a whole new sound and a wide range of musical influence, Zuzu Bailey has built on the experience learned as 5SS to bring listeners an edgy pop-rock sound. The music is written from their perspective as Christians which provides Zuzu Bailey a foundation for creating a positive influence on college and youth. With the original lineup, the group performed in concert for the last 5 years for crowds ranging from intimate coffee house settings to audiences of more than 1,000 and has released 3 cds. Drawing on this experience, Zuzu Bailey is currently in the studio putting finishing touches on their debut album & hopes to jump back into the concert scene at full tilt. |
