Artist description merle is basically a singer/songwriter&musician that takes his songs and produces them based off a wide variety of music genres. He believes a good song is a good song.you can take a great song and make it a rock song,r&bsong,dance,whatever,its just a matter of production.currently playing all the instruments, doing all the vocals, all the production, all the artwork/graphics basically everything, his grammar school band is planning a reunion by this summer to do more r&b and funk stuff. keep an eye and an ear out for 'em.

Artist History merle got his start back in 1989 w/trax records here in chicgo and radical records in london. there was total of 5 releases:virgo4,m.e.,winter days&summer nites 12", ace&the sandman and various releases on radical records, all done w/partner in crime @ the time eric lewis between 1989-1991.there were more scheduled releases in the works in 91 w/infamous chicago dj RON HARDY but due to his untimely death they were never released.since merle has gone solo performing around chicago doing covers and his original pieces and painting like a mad man, doing murals all around chicago which has been his means of survival until the music starts to blast which is his goal for this year.JUST MUSIC!started playing drums @ 5 and eventually started playing in church and then in band w/3 other friends until high school where he and part-eric just stayed together.basically merle is self taught except for vocal training w/opera ebony(new york) and vocal mechanics here in chicago w/robert bergess.other schooling was at the art institute of chicago for a bfa.merle is someone that should or will be recognized eventually.being so content w/just loving to do music he has never done a lot of things in promoting himself to get well known.his only drawback is that he does everything when he should be just concentrating on writing and getting to know the right people.thats why he plans to perform very heavily by the end of this year, he's got somethin to offer.
