    Artist History
Shane Jackman cut his musical teeth in the Ski Lodges of Utah and Colorado. In the early 90's,he earnedt a name for himself in the coffee-houses of the burgeoning folk scene in New England. In 1997 Shane was signed to BWE Music, and recorded an album entitled "Rhythm of the Land", which quickly made it's up the Gavin Americana radio charts. He logged in tens of thousands of miles on a VW bus, and later, a Winnebago - playing up to 165 concerts a year accross the US and Canada, with headlining status at major folk and music festivals. Jackman opened for the likes of Michael Martin Murphy, Trisha Yearwood, Peter Yarrow, and Greg Brown,to name just a few. At the start of 1999, BWE Music closed its doors and Shane Jackman took the opportunity to stay at home in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah with his wife Linda and two young children, limiting his performances to the Rocky Mountain region. He recorded and independently released an album of acoustic songs called "Looking West" telling some of the history of the early settlement of Utah,of which his forefathers played an integral role. Shane Jackman is now in pre-production for a new album of contemporary vignettes for the Highway Records label. His music will continue to be distributed nationally and on the web.

    Press Reviews
Shane Jackman's trademark sagebrush sound and compelling dusty lyrics distinguish him as "one of the better entities of the singer/songwriter world." (Gavin Report) "His music is substantive, soulful and artfully phrased." (Acoustic Musician Magazine" "The real soul of America...his music will haunt you...Priceless." says Michael Martin Murphy. Shane Jackman’s Americana top 40 album, "Rhythm of the Land", features songs produced by Steve Addabbo (Suzanne Vega, Shawn Colvin, Once Blue). Also performing on the album are prominent acoustic artists, Michael Lille, Cosy Sheridan, David Massengill and Cityfolk.“...These are songs to be envisioned and tasted and felt, and the only thing better than this CD would be Shane Jackman and his friends around your campfire.” (Acoustic Guitar Magazine)
