Artist History
65 million years ago, dinosaurs ruled the earth. In the year 2002, See Live Tigers! burst onto the Texas indie rock scene. Named after a West Texas roadside attraction, See Live Tigers! delivers their brand of dynamic, melody-infused indie rock with sincerity and emotion. They have already begun making a name for themselves with their intense live show at such clubs as the Steamboat and Emo's.
See Live Tigers! was founded in January 2002 by Ross Ingram (guitar, vocals) and Nathan Peevey (bass, backing vocals), following the demise of their former musical project. After a few months of songwriting and rehearsal, Ingram and Peevey convened in March 2002 at Ingram's Dull Day Studios and recorded 3 songs, which, with the addition of a previously recorded version of their song Such a Beautiful Day, they released in April 2002 on Ingram's Star Dot Star Records as the band's first EP, iVea los tigres vivos! They recruited Chas Peacock (guitar) and James Hedrick (drums) to round out the lineup shortly thereafter. Following a summer of shows, James left the band and was replaced by Everett Barksdale. In May 2003, See Live Tigers! found themselves scattered across 4 cities in 2 states, and decided to call it quits. |
