    Artist description
One Like Son is now a one man project by former front man Stephen Poff. His first record "Love Songs for the Apathetic" was hailed by Marty Peters of "Recording" magazine as, "...One of the better four track projects you're likely to hear." Stephen has gained local critical acclaim for his work as an engineer/songwriter/producer for a number of Mississippi and Louisiana bands and and work with his indie record label Body Thief Records. The next record entitled "Goodbye" will be a companion to the comic book of the same name. The new record also includes cameos by a variety of local artists. Though there are a number of influences listed... One Like Son is really a unique brand of "Alternative Pop", and has a sound all it's own. Artist History
One Like Son started out as a High School garage band in 1992 with members Dewan Watts, Bob Brown, and Stephen Poff. Over the years the band has gone through many members only to have the group breaking up in 1998. Stephen Poff the driving force and songwriter for the group decided to carry on using the name and finish the body of work that he had accumulated at that time. The upcoming record entitled "Goodbye" is a reflection of the hurt and acceptance of the demise of the band and the eventual decision to move on. It is a death and rebirth if you will.
