Artist History
Born: 06.06.1970 in Skopje, Macedonia, into a family of musicians.
Present/Recent: 2002 Composer and Musical Director for Katherine Hunter’s production of Aristophanes’ THE BIRDS at the National Theatre Lon-don. Musical Director for Sir Peter Hall’s and Sir Harrison Birtwistle’s production THE BACCHAE (upon Euripides) at the NT London, Newcastle Theatre Royal and Epidaurus festival, Greece. Part-Time Tutor in composition at King’s College London since 2001. Member and co-founder of META4 (ensemble for authentic computer generated music)
Near past : 2001 Orchestrating and conducting the score of Kiril Dzajkovski for the motion picture DUST (for History Dream Works/British screen/British Film Consortium/Virgin Italia), 1999-2000 personal music & software assistant of Rolf Gehlhaar in [sound=space] multimedia, 1994–1998 Macedonian National Theatre music director/composer, Macedonian National Radio and Television as a music producer and TV presenter, 1996-1998 Professor of piano at the “National Music and Ballet Educational Center” in Skopje, Macedonia.
Education: 2001 MMus in composition with Sir Harrison Birtwistle at King’s College London. 1998 Post-graduate Magisterial in composition from Academia de Musica in Bucharest, Romania with Anatol Vieru (student of Khachaturian and Shostakovich). Graduated from the Faculty of Musical Arts at the St. Cyril and Methody University in Skopje 1993 in piano and 1997 in composition.
Composition master classes: with Marco Stroppa (IRCAM), Gyrgy Kurtag and Gyrgy Ligeti.
Piano master classes: with Boris Romanov, Zoltan Kocsis, Imre Rohmann, etc.
