Artist description Mellow Sun are Joe and Phil Gooch. Mellow Sun play catchy, original guitar-based music. In December 1998, after playing separately in numerous bands, a chance jam session led to the brothers writing and recording a number of acoustic tracks together, and many gigs on London's burgeoning acoustic scene followed. Mellow Sun incorporate strings, keyboards and percussion into their recorded work. Live, they continue to appear 'unplugged' with Gary Sharman guesting on bass and second guitar.
