Artist description
1978, the two tone era was in full effect. A new dance craze was sweeping the discos across England, and most of the would be members of Liquidator were wee tots fast asleep. Since then, the bands have come and gone and a third wave of ska has emerged; but Liquidator has chosen to remember those bands which inspired the new generation. While remaining true to their two tone roots, their musical creativity extends beyond that of cookie cutter, 2 tone cliches. By adding elements of other styles and genres from the era they have molded a style of their own. Bands like The Beat, The Specials, The Selecter, Madness, along with The Clash, The Police, The Cure, and countless others have influenced the bands unique sound. Making their music as fresh, exciting, and danceable as it was when their 2 Tone heros played back in 1978. |
