Artist History
The LIPPA J.B. was born in january 1989 with the idea of recreating the `sound' of traditional jazz of New-Orleans following the example of great musicians such as Louis Armstrong and his Hot Five, Nick La Rocca and his ODJB, Joe "King" Oliver, Jelly Roll Morton, Bix Beiderbeke and so on. More than ten years of activity, hundreds of concertos, a lot of music. The LIPPA JAZZ BAND played in all the major jazz-clubs in Turin and has been several time guest at the "Jazz Preservation Hall"; many shows in all the major theater of Turin, from Teatro Nuovo to the Teatro Regio. Three times they participate to the Festival International du Jazz in S. Raphael (France), many "street parades" and guest at the Euro Festival Jazz of Ivrea: this is the backgorund of the combo. |

The LIPPA is composed by: trumpet Andrea Vitali one of the best musicians of classic jazz in Italy, trombone Vittorio Pilone, clarinet Paolo Dutto, banjo and arrangements Lorenzo Caresana; pianoforte Paolo Volante, tuba Maurizio Mallen and drums Luca Rigazio. |
