Artist History ARIEL KILL HIM was formed in 1999 by David Lehnberg when he was in between albums with his current band Leiah. Leiah is still around but what in the beginning was considered a side-project has taken a much more serious turn. Ariel Kill has up until today released two fullength albums, two CD-singles and a split 7” and will release a new album in February 2003. After recording a low budget album on his own he joined forces with producer Magnus Bj�rk in mid 2001 and recorded his second solo album. The result was Alpha is Down, released on Kasual Recordings a couple of months later that year. The record was an instant success and grew to be the best selling release in the label’s history. The album was also released on vinyl on the German independent label Strange Fruit and a Japanese release will be out shortly as well. Leiah have done over 10 European tours with bands as The Get Up Kids, As Friends Rust, Hot Water Music and Grade. Although David never toured with AKH on his own he has gained a lot of interest from the Leiah fans and the response so far has been overwhelming. A European tour with Ariel Kill Him is in the works and with at least 7 people on stage you will sure experience an amazing live show. In November 2003, the recording of the third AKH album was completed, again with Magnus Bj�rk behind the knobs and together they have created a masterpiece! Once again David has reinvented his sound and the new album is a bit more introvert than before, more electronic sounds and more “produced” than previous works and sure to please both new and old fans of Ariel Kill Him! A lot of effort has been put into the production and every single song is amazing enough to stand on its own. Musically you will find everything from epic ballads to minimalistic songs only accompanied by an acoustic guitar and piano. In the Pyramid is an album you listen to from beginning to end and the tracks blend together nicely to form an album, not just a bunch of songs put together on a disc. David & co will be touring throughout Europe during 2003 and will hopefully be able to tour other parts of the world as well in support of In the Pyramid.
