Artist description
With propulsive drive and a rollin’ thunder rhythm that mixes the force of Iggy and the Stooges with the loose audacity of the New York Dolls, these Atlanta rockers called the X-Impossibles are the sharpest thorns in the peach patch. They’re impossibly fun, impossibly wild and impossible to forget. --- |

Artist History
The X-Impossibles blasted onto the music scene in early 1996 with a dynamic four song demo. It was an immediate success, winning over the hearts and minds of press and fans alike. Within a few months of their debut, they became finalists in the unsigned band contest Demo-Lition held at The Roxy Theatre. With a musical force that combined such influences as The Stooges, The MC5 and The New York Dolls, The X-Impossibles have attracted an eclectic following. Two of their shows in 1997 were highlighted with a guest appearance by Sylvain Sylvain on lead guitar. Their song "Murder Mystery" was featured on the garage-rock compilation "Fuzzy Logic" from Baltimore-based RPM USA Records, receiving radio airplay and media attention worldwide. Atlanta-based Shut Eye Records chose the song "Come On" to be included on their "Brand New Buzz" CD, released in mid-1997. In December 1998 The X-Impossibles released their debut self-titled CD on their own KICK-IT! Label. In January Shuteye Records released an X-Impossibles split 7" with Atlanta faves 6X. This fall the band release another pair of colored vinyl 7" singles through Vinyl Retentive Productions and Reactionary Records. Also The X-Impossibles will be releasing their new full length CD in early 2000. |
