Artist History
The Pincushions have played music since the late 1990's and
will continue until you coalesce in a
sea of violet or raise your hand in the air
and proclaim, “rock and roll will never die.
Writing, recording, and
performing music since 1995 and playing in the Boston area and throughout
the Northeast United States.
Rich Brewer (vocals, guitar) and Pete Arsenault
(vocals, guitar) write songs and play guitars
Nick DeSantis (bass, vocals) and Matt Fauller
(drums)
lay down solid, precise rhythm,
providing foundation for a fortress of splendid
rock melody, driven by vocals, intertwined with complex lyrical themes. The Pincushions can often be found playing in and
around Boston, occasionally at places like at the Kendall Cafe, T.T. the Bear's, or the Middle East in Cambridge, MA,
the Ranch House in Marshfield, MA,
up to the Rhumbline in Gloucester, over at the Sky Bar in Somerville, and most
often at Great Scott on the corner of Commonwealth and Harvard in Allston.
We've entertained at colleges including Haverford
College in Philadelphia, PA, U.V.M. of Burlington,
VT, Providence College, and in the green pastures
of Harvard University. We play this music that you hear because we love to play music and express our feelings through songwriting. Pure and simple. So here it is for you. Thank you for listening... |

Press Reviews
the Pincushions - Locklit 6 song CD Taking melodic pages from the books of the Plimsouls, The Replacements, Lemonheads, REM and Blind Melon, this latest disc from the Pincushions is chock full of melodic powerful guitar driven pop, produced by Dragstrip Courage's Mike Quinn. Songwriters Pete Arsenault and Rich Brewer have an uncanny knack for melody and know how to turn a phrase...This CD will be in my player for a while."
