We used to call it "post-punk neo-psychedelic," but that was just because we couldn't think of anything better. Hunks of Beatles, smattering of blues, a few slivers from the avant garde. |

Artist History
Started with Scott Miller's new-wavish Alternate Learning; when that broke up, Miller formed Game Theory and Guy Kyser joined Joe Becker and I to form the quasi-punk Lazy Boys. When THAT broke up, Guy and Joe formed Thin White Rope, and I formed the jangly neo-psychedlic Coincidence. That died, and I played with the vaguely roots-oriented Rich Hardesty & the Del Reys for a time. Now just kind of drifting. |

Press Reviews
The Sacramento Bee had this to say about the Coincidence:"If these guys could get some backing, they'd definitely go places." I'm sure if somebody important heard this song, like, say, Rolling Stone magazine, they'd say something like: "This is, without doubt, not only the best song ever in the universe, but probably the single most wonderful work of art in any genre. Just THINKING about the title cured my gout." |
