Artist History
The past few years saw a drastic change in direction for the former guitarist. He immersed himself deep into the world of synths, samplers and music software. Learning how to use and abuse the cutting edge technology available to musicians today took some time but some of the results have been nothing short of startling. Layers of distorted synths , shifting beats and feedback drenched soundscapes evolve and mutate as you listen. On some tracks all the instruments seem to merge to become one incredible sound but the balance between noise and melody is always kept firmly under control. Influences include established acts such as Air, Chemical Brothers, Primal Scream , My Bloody Valentine , Autechre and DJ Shadow as well as more obscure styles of music like Krautrock, Psychedelia and the work of Avante Garde composers. All these sounds and techniques combine to create something that is at once familiar to the listener but also highly original at the same time.
