Artist description
On Reading Rainbow, Lavar Burton recommended books to children, and then advised, “but you don’t have to take my word for it.”The members of Reaching Forward would like to take the same approach. “Damn! Damn impressive; coming on the scene, exploding all up in your ass!” That’s what Tim Noble had to say, after debuting the band’s first track, “Rubber,” on 103.5 FM, the Edge. “If you guys ever see Reaching Forward out somewhere, go out and see them, they rock.”Reaching Forward blends the energy and raw power of the hardcore bands with which they most often play, with added layers of complexity and emotional range. Their heavy, crunching guitars coupled with powerfully melodic vocals have garnered comparisons to Tool and the Deftones, but is a sound truly distinct to Reaching Forward.Over the past year, Reaching Forward has been playing out and playing hard, perfecting their stage show while opening for the likes of Spine Shank, Glassjaw, Vision of Disorder, Hatebreed, One King Down, and The Clay People. Their independently produced debut EP, Forever Afternoon, features five of the band’s strongest efforts, and is now available in stores.Vocals: Rocco DiDonnaLead and Rhythm Guitars: Justin BarkerLead and Rhythm Guitars: Bill MattisonBass guitar: Tyler ManchesterPercussion: Jon VidulichContact Reaching Forward:email: reachfor@hotmail.com |
