Artist description pi-rat raydio is looking for motivated musicians and bands who want their music played on the radio. After much sweat and experimentation we are finally on the air!!! Our official opening will be Wednesday, March 1, 2000. We will not be doing any shows until the March 1st date. Tune in.... you may hear yourself being played! Right now we are playing All The Pretty Horses, Kari Tauring, LeNor Barry, Fisher, and Chad Guerrero and many others! Would you be interested in participating in an online interview or performance? Send us a copy of your CD, Vinyl or Cassette and any press kit which you have available and we will play it on the radio. If you have mailing list for promotional CD's, Vinyl, or Tapes we would appreciate your adding our address. Record labels or distributors are encouraged to submit promotional or demo copies of CD's and press kits. Promotional copies of CD's (or autographed CD's, posters, etc.) which we may give to our listeners are also encouraged. If you would like to arrange a special promotional event feel free to contact us. Contact information and postal address is at the end of this message. Many artist's and representative's have written back to us requesting we download MP3's and play them. We simply do not have the time to download and un encode MP3's. The MP3's must be converted to .wav's and transferred on to a CD before we can play them on the radio. If you are serious about your music and want it played you must send us a CD, Tape or Vinyl. Mp3's are great but they are not suitable for air play, sorry. pi-rat raydio is a live, independent, noncommercial web channel. We are housed in, and broadcast live from, Gus Lucky's Art Gallery in South Minneapolis, MN. Our channel is based on shows webcast by individuals from the world over to promote independent artists whom otherwise would not ever be heard on the "normal" radio. (What is normal?)We would love to have you as a guest on our show or possible performance in our Gallery space. Tell your musician friends about us.
