Artist description
Welcome to Mitch Morgan's music site.
Quality guitar playing for sale, cheap.
Free, even. Now in moldy, overgrown,
Portland, OR and avalible for weddings,
Bar Mitzvahs, drunken debacles, and other
casual musical engagements. Looking for a band,
actually. Is there anyone in this town that
doesn't have their head up their ass
( or their nose in a bag ) that needs a good
guitar player? What the hell? A few notes.
I got my first guitar when I was nine.
The guy next door gave it to my dad I think he
owed him money his name was Obee and his wife's
name was Mildred and their dog was named Steppy.
It was like playing a fence but I could get
"Jingle Bells" out of it. Sort of. When I got
older it was anything bluesy, loud and long
haired. I've gigged on and off over the years
and usually ended up working straight jobs.
Better pay, worse hours. I was an average student
except for music classes and ceramics and stuff
like that which was you know, after lunch.
My school councilor told me to quit school and
get a job. At least he didn't have me arrested.
I used to put out fires for the U.S. Gov in
Nevada and Califoria, smashed phone booths for
the phone company in Oregon, counted fish and
other odd jobs wherever. I worked at a ski area
for a long time. I've always been interested
in the effect music can have on people.
At one gig I saw red-necks in bowling shirts and
cowboy boots dancing like pagens with their fat
wives to a band (us) they had been giving dirty
looks to for half the night. Maybe it was the
liquor. Anyway, enjoy. These songs all have
their own feel to them. I tried to put as much
atmosphere in them as I could. M.M. |
