    Artist description
Rising out of landscapes of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Full White Drag was born in the spring of 1997. Inspired by the city of Detroit and the underground sounds Chicago, New York and DC the band has been able to climb up the ranks of the Canadian music scene with its inspiring live show which critics have dubbed “a taste of everything that was good about the 90’s.” After releasing their debut album —AMBASSADOR— in March 2000 on their own ChiefTown Music, the band took off on all out DIY-attack against the Canadian music scene. The album broke the EXCLAIM! Magazine Top 50 for June 2000 and received national press attention in the JUNE 2000 issue of CHART Magazine. Recognizing that careers in the music industry are built on the road, the band has made touring an essential part of its strategy and has toured Canada twice since the release of AMBASSADOR. FWD has played with bands like Girls Against Boys, And You Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, The Dismemberment Plan, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Chore, Kepler, Weights & Measures, Danko Jones, Heston Rifle, North Of America, Hot Hot Heat and many others. Most recently, the band’s hard work has allowed them to sell out of the entire first pressing of AMBASSADOR without any distribution deal—a feat many bands only dream of achieving. In mid-2001, the band entered The House Of Miracles studio in London, Ontario to record a new album—THE INDEPENDENCE--with friend J. Andrew Magoffin (By Divine Right, The Constantines, 2 Minute Miracles). Currently, the band is preparing for the upcoming release of THE INDEPENDENCE (planned for mid-2002) with their touring plans aimed at conquering the United States & Europe. With the new recording and a new member in R. Mathew Fields (the riverfront ensemble, hazel weatherfield), the band hopes to take what they have learned and bring it to the next level. The word is spreading fast--Full White Drag is poised to take over the world.

    Press Reviews
new review - CHART magazine - www.chartattack.com - "... The band's debut, Ambassador (Chieftown), recalls the scouring melodic guitar work of Girls Against Boy, Fugazi, Sonic Youth, and Jawbox --- muscular and sinister, suave and nocturnal. Music fans with a taste for Chicago-style heaviness should sit up and take note." - Sean Palmerston, VIEW magazine, October 19-25 2000, Hamilton, ON. - “..mighty long on tuneful dissonances in the likes of Blonde Redhead and Sonic Youth. Full White Drag made their imprint on me as a band very much worth watching for in the future. “ – Stephen Dohnberg, www.BurningINK.com, live review of August 10th show at Lee’s Palace, Toronto, ON For an article from CHARTattack.com on our summer tour go to this url: http://www.chartattack.com/DAMN/2000/07/1108.cfm ...also, check out the JUNE 2000 issue of CHART for a full review of AMBASSADOR. - "Their first full-length album, Ambassador, is a loud and solid effort...Dubbed a "taste of everything that was good about the '90s" by music-industry insiders,..."
