Artist description Are You Still Alive is a solo Bigbeat/Breakbeat Techno project. The music generally has a predominate beat and often sampled instuments. Some the the music is downtempo with a certain "sobreity" about it, while other songs are faster and "lighter." The use of layers and panning experimentation have increased in recent works. Are You Still Alive hopes in incorporate more live samples of local artist and also involve some spoken work/singing from Jason Lloyd.

Artist History Are You Still Alive has had a realitivly long and sorted past. It initially began as a side Project of Matt Bradley (Sentor Dexter/TickleBelly/The Warrren Commission/Skokopelli) and Caleb Larsen (The Warren Commission/Skokopelli/SubSpectrum). Only a couple of songs were recorded, and those recording may be lost for eternity. It then breifly expanded to contain Dave Hanson (Postal Flowers/solo work), Andy Soper (Square Peg), and Jon Soper (Postal Flowers/Square Peg). That did not last long and no music was ever recorded. Matt and Caleb then joined forced with the DJ, Calvin White (solo DJ work). That had promise, but at this time Matt and Caleb were begining to lose interest in the poject. Once again, not recordings were ever made. Are You Still Alive conintued as a side project of Matt and Caleb, but little time was given to it and only a few basement recordings were ever made. A few years later Caleb began "tracking" techno on his computer using a little program called "Impulse Tracker." He release some of his songs under the name SubSpectrum (The Sun compilation), but soon came to adopt Are You Still Alive as the project's name (with the consent and blessing of Matt). Are You Still Alive now exists and a solo project but occasionally incorporates samples from other local artists (Jeremiah McConnell). There is a potential for a collaboration with Jason Lloyd on some spoken word tracks; though, do date, nothing as taken place.
