Artist History
Joe Silva started releasing music on his own label, Purespace Records back in 1995. After four successful releases, Silva shifted his focus to strictly studio work and DJ'ing. No longer performing live as X Nation, Silva now splits his time between DJ appearances across Canada and the US, spinning his own style of deep n'funky house, working in the studio on his own tracks, and doing remixes for other artists. Demand for his X Nation material prompted Silva to make the tracks available via digital distribution on mp3.com. Silva's latest release is "Pick Me Up" on Viva! Recordings, featuring a remix by Chicago legend Johnny Fiasco. Pick Me Up will be available in record stores everywhere on June 30, 2000 and can be heard on groovetech.com and satelliterecords.com |

Press Reviews
Joe Silva "Pick Me Up" on Viva! "..funky keyboard stabs and a killer string line, rubbed down with some tight swinging bass. Classy stuff." - Muzik Aug 2000 .......... Nowhere: "This Canadian label delivers an atmospheric house gem that can be played in a variety of settings...a must have!" - DJTRAXX.com ......... Freeyourmind: "The tribalistic mix of Freeyourmind in particular just makes it impossible to hold still. Housy drums, a funky organ, and an intense buildup make this an instant hit." - IMR magazine |
