Artist History
Kurt met missy at one of her shows, and asked her to be in the band. She joined as the drummer, in a power trio called olly. Randy Lamontange was the bass player. They got rid of Randy cos he sucked and Missy didn't want to play drums. There was an ad for a stand up bass player at where Missy use to work (Midtown Music) and they called it. Zack began to play bass for them The needed a drummer so they went to ever music store from saco to portland looking at adds. Only getting one number they called and Mark Molonoff a 38 year old man became the drummer in August 1999. Later they kicked Mark out of the band. Jeff Foran soon started to play drums. He was in Kurt's first band "Broken Dog". He played for one show and is in the process of moving to California or New Orleans or something like that! Zack then played drums. Kurt has stayed on guitar and vocals. Missy is playing guitar, vocals, and trumpet, but hopes to find someone to aleave her from that position.Brian Tingdal was asked from another band to join the raSKAls, and has confirmed playing. The raSKAls really like his playing, and his energy makes him fit right in! Stef and shawn were on their normal instruments, stef sax, shawn, trombone. Kelly and Karen were still fly girls, and there are now two girls that are aspiring to dance onstage with them! One day in chemestry Missy mentioned to her friend Bob who plays the drums that they needed a drummer, and he said he'd try it out. Bob became the drummer. Also in this chemestry class (that might be good for social activities, but the class sucks) Missy finally got christine clark to play trumpet. Joe Earnhardt was asked to join because he was good at sax. Soon enough people didn't like his attitude. The raSKAls also got a gig at the schools coffehouse the seventeenth of february. Shawn Leblanc entered the picture. The raSKAls did the show the 17th, and it was very good. The following monday where we started practicing at STEFS house, a new sax player was added named Lindsay Moreau. At the coffehouse everyone liked the dancing people to the left of the stage, and since they were all ta students we asked some of them to come to the show the 25th with us. Margaret Reid e-mailed the raSKAls Jocie Pillsbury's phone number, bob called, and she became a "rodie". Sam was already a rodie. Joe was kicked out. The raSKAls practiced hard the whole week of vacation till it was finally friday the 25th. Once Keith picked up Josie, bob got on the computer and made big red stickers that said "BITCH". So were the rodies now dubbed BITCHES. Sam, Josie, and Brian's brother Josh raSKAls played the show really bad at the beginning (they had to stop in the middle of stupid love song) but there were many emotional problems going on before that show. They have been practicing, and recording their first cd, "do you ride the shortbus?" the next show is either the 9th or 13th of april. |

Press Reviews
Is this the end of the RaSKAls??? Missy is going to North Carolina to go to the most rigid religious dump of a school in history, Kurt is just plain gone, and the rest of the band has no idea what the future holds!! But don't worry because you will always be able to hear the RaSKAls here at mp3.com. Keep tuned to the RaSKAls webpage for news on any reunion shows. |
