Artist History
It started out as Trevor's senior project. Neal on drums, they were Pearls, I think. Justin played a Gibson Les Paul Studio guitar and myself on an four string Squire Precision bass (using a pick), with a ply-wood body and a crooked grained neck. Trever wrote all of the songs in his head...all the guitar parts and all the bass parts and the vocals... all in his head! Well, the way we learned the songs, was to have Trevor sing us our parts a couple of times, and then we would just jam on it. The thing is, Trevor didn't play guitar back then, so he didn't realize how hard these songs were. But I am glad he didn't because it made me grow as a player, I think I speak for all of us in that. Trevor and myself were fans of doing some funky(weird) stuff to the songs. Mostly with odd time signitures. While Justin and Neal were the 4/4 brothers. They would fight for it to stay in 4/4 when Trevor or myself would come up with some weird idea. But the time signitures, the overall complex songs and the people made it the funnest band that I have been in. Trevor was 18, Neal must have been 17, Justin must have been 15 and myself 15 also. This tape was recorded and mixed by Justin at the Hunt Palace on a Tascam four track. |
