Artist description
Squishy #5 is a five piece punk band from Lafayette, Louisiana. Made up of three hardcore drinkers, one Star Wars freak and a weightlifting ninteen year-old punk, Squishy know how to make some noise... Whether it's raising hell on the back porch or jamming on the strip it's always an interesting show. |

Artist History
Squishy #5 was formed in 1998 when three friends had way too much time on their hands and decided to start a band. Everything sounded pretty crappy until the bass player suggested that his little brother sing. What a difference! This boy has talent! They wrote some songs and they sounded pretty catchy so they saved some money and went into the studio. That produced the 6 song ep "Schocolate Milk and Honk-a-Bonks." They sent this to their friend who was living in California and quickly running out of money. They asked him if he would like to round out the band as a second guitarist. Remembering how cheap the beer was and how you could smoke in bars back home, he quickly jumped at the chance. They again returned to the studio to pump out "My Shoes Fell Off!"- the 3 song ep. For the next year they played bars, skate parks, open fields and drank lots of beers all while writing songs for their recently released LP "Regrets." Not looking to quit anytime soon, Squishy #5 should be around for a bit. Just don't run out of beer. |
