Drawing on an unusually high level of intrinsic musicality this band holds an appeal for a wide variety of music lovers. Head bangers can bang away, soaking up the rhythmic nuances and pure vocals while the more cerebral fans can groove to intelligent lyrics and a riveting stage show.

Artist History Each member of Shallow are experienced musicians and have previously achieved their own level of notoriety with other local acts. Brian began his musical background at age eight, performing piano recitals for over 300 people before taking up the drums at age 13. Brian and Hans formerly provided the rhythm section for a local band called "I Block" who went on to play numerous local gigs before changing their line-up, name, and redefining their sound.Jason and Terry formed the local band Maddhouse in 1991 while still in High School. Maddhouse went on to play several gigs and benefits around the Northern California area including among others, The Boardwalk in Sacramento and the Mark White festival at local River Front Park, before recording their first CD, Sonata in Z Minor, in mid 1996 . Their debut CD sold more than a thousand copies throughout Northern California and can still be found in many local music stores. Jason went on to play with Sacramento Rock Talents, Drone, which have opened for nationally known bands such as Testament, Slaughter, Floater, Machinehead and Stuck Mojo as well as winning the battle of bands in 1998 and recording a CD, " Machines of Tolerance".Together, These four guys love to write new original music. They are great friends outside of practice as well as serious musicians during rehearsal. They hope that the formula they have created makes for quality entertainment for their friends, families and you!
