Artist History
Scott Williams has been banging on the hammered dulcimer for 12 years, after seeing and buying one at the Maryland Renaissance Faire. He now performs all over San Diego County for weddings, restaurants, festivals, shopping malls, and private parties. Having just built a digital studio, Scott plans to record material from the colonial era, Civil War era, a Christmas album, and a rock cover album which will include artists ranging from Elton John to Metallica. He is currently recording his next album, featuring compositions from a very talented Celtic Harpist. You can hear this combination on Greensleeves and Crystal Tears. |

Press Reviews
Romantic folk melodies of yore played on Scott Williams's dulcimer transport you back to medieval times when men were knights in shining armor and women were laissez faire. Elegance and charm define this music. Some songs sound amazingly delicate, like heirloom lace that withers to threads at the slightest touch. You hear in these eerily haunting and tremendously beautiful ballads the reason they've endured over the centuries. While Scott performs mostly traditional Celtic ballads of Irish, Scottish, and English origin, he'll sometimes pleasure the audience with an original or contemporary composition, or for those getting hitched, Wagner's "Wedding March." -- Dylan Roberts |
