Artist History When I was just a kid, I received the music influence of the 60's from my parents who loved to sing it and hear it.I started playing guitar when I was 11 years old. Soon after I began to study classical guitar at University Javeriana (Bogotá, Colombia) where I learned not only new playing techniques but also music theory and history.After three years of studying classical music I began to realize that I didn't want to be playing classical guitar all my life, (not that there's anything wrong with it, but the creation possibilities are minimal) so I got into the jazz world where improvisation and spontaneous creativity rules! I played in a few jazz bands in Colombia and Canada and right now I'm enrolled in the jazz program at Capilano College (Vancouver BC, Canada).I also love popular music and don't dismiss it like others jazz musicians do. The songs you hear in this page are not jazzy tunes. They are part of a quite popular and always expressive side inside me.Hope you enjoy it!
