The word "artist" is used too freely, but the Angel is an artist in every sense of the word. Since Kilo Ki and his brethren, THE HIRED GUN HEATHENS, produce their own product and manufacture their own s**t, they don't play by the music industry's rules. F**k that. They take chances with their music, they've got nothing to lose. They inject a much needed dose of originality and creativity to the artform. The Dirty Angel says whatever the hell he wants with no regard for anyone's feelings. This music is for the hardcore rap fiends only. The cult. The rest of you zombies can turn on ya' radio and listen to that Fabolous...that Ja-Rule...that fly-by-night, paint-by-numbers, manufactured-on-an-assembly-line fluffy-ass bulls**t. Artist History The Dirty Angel has been rhyming since cats were wearing Lottos with fat laces. Instead of waiting for record labels to sign him like a slave waiting for "massa" to feed his starvin' ass, Kilo Ki dropped his own s**t...with the solid backing of his co-defendant Chris Clarke and Clarkework Entertainment, of course. Together their creativity and talent is limitless. Not only do the Hired Gun Heathens produce their own tracks in their own lab, film & edit their own videos in that same lab, PLUS press up & package their own CDs...guess what? They do the artwork too. Covers, tray cards, labels...Sorry, haters..but it's true. Chris Clarke is responsible for the hot album cover for Dirty Angel's COLDHARDFAST. Looks like a movie poster,huh? Group Members Kilo Ki is a solo act. He does, however, have a gang of talented friends. Not only has he created a superb CD with Harlem's illest, Artie Clay, Ki is also a founding member of the Hired Gun Heathens. The Heathens are rap mercenaries from all parts of NYC who've decided it would be beneficial to get money as one unit. Other than Kilo Ki, the group's most prominent members thus far are Redd Dibiase and Chris Clarke. The Mighty Quin of Dark Theory has been part of the family from jump street, and has finally returned home to record with his Hired Gun brethren. He and Kilo Ki have an EP in the works right now. Guaranteed fire.
