Artist History
Jova is Cuban and started playing the piano at three (from mom who is a great cuban style pianist), and played drums in his first band when he was seven. Started playing guitar and recording at home in high school. Played with surf punk band Moto-x. At IU he played with mini-moogs and emu synths, and studied jazz drumming earning a degree in Audio Technology and Acoustics. His teacher was Chuck Kroupa, nephew of Gene Kroupa, the Big Band legend. Dedicated beat specialist. Nominated for a Grammy. |
