Artist description Hi - Fi Special has three Members (Ibie Malik,Brian Mauleon, and Daniel Randa) who play guitar,bass, and Drums respectively. Though the make up is simple, the band brings a wealth of influences and style that adds depth to their sound. All three members are well rounded in playing other instruments such as saxophone and piano.

Artist History Brian Mauleon (bassist and lead vocalist) started learning guitar basics from a friend while he was in the eighth grade. He then taught Ibie Malik (guitarist) and Daniel Randa (percussionist) the bassics on guitar. After a year of jamming Daniel decided to take up drumming and so the band was made up of two guitars and drums. After another year of adding and dropping additional members, the group was back to the original three. With hopes to start playing publicly, Brian became the bassist and lead singer. Shortly after, the group realized that college was not far off and they were all moving away. The group became more of a party band during their final months in high school. After a short time in college, the three decided to record some of their stuff for "old times sake". The rest is history.
