Artist History
ENSHROUD was first formed during the Summer of 1996 by Sean Pollacco, Carlo Aquilina, Josef Bajada and James Zammit. The music at the time was mainly influenced by old style death metal which was soon to alter after the first line-up change the following year. Kenneth Pace replaced James on drums and the style changed to melodic and atmospheric metal which proved to be the desired style for all the members. Due to the drastic change in style the band needed a keyboardist to complete the line-up. Charlotte Schembri joined at the end of 1997 on keyboards and female vocals and the band recorded its first track entitled “Miseries” which was released on a compilation CD entitled Tomorrow's Millionaires under Toppling Colossus Records. Following thisrelease the band worked on some new material until the line-up was shattered again with the departure of Charlotte. None the less Enshroud kept rehearsing regularly, continuously improving and perfectioning their style. In August 1999 Conrad Borg joined on vocals and in December 1999 Gordon Zammit joined in on keyboards. With these new members completing once again the line-up, Enshroud could finally work and finalize the old material as well as compose some new tracks with complete instrumentation and arrangements. |
