Artist description das ramonium , which is Ramonah Lenz and guests, is an exhibition of UNEASY LISTENING.By recording the source instead of using digital samples, similar to the methods of Einstürzende Neubauten, she creates a physically intensive and organic sound. Most of the pieces are slow, silent and contain many reversed sounds, often alienated female voice. All appearing voices are the voice of Ramonah , except where mentioned. The sounds have a character of minimalistic thickness or of frailty which is to be seen as an investigation on silence. Rhythm in its traditional understanding (of using drums) hardly appears, it barely develops itself throughout the feel of the respective sound piece. The lyrics focus on topics like findings on human behavior,e.g. love and major bliss versus nostalgia and emotional extinction.
